2013 'Viñero' Cuvée Extra Brut
10% Pinot Noir from our old block in South Gisborne / 90% Chardonnay from Ben Ranken’s place in Lancefield. Med straw yellow. Lemon meringue, almond meal. Light to med body. pink grapefruit and some fino-like autolytic tang. Long complex wine driven by the extended lees aging and ripe citrus of Chardonnay, with Pinot Noir contributing a hint of red apple fruit and blossom.

2012 'Viñero' Romsey Chardonnay
Medium yellow gold, with flecks of green. The nose shows nuances of struck match, nutmeg, caramelised pear. The very first Romsey Chardonnay! No new oak, no malo, no battonage - very little winemaking influence here, just the fruit, soil and sun doing all the work. Oh and 10 years in bottle kind of helps too! 

2011 'Viñero' South Gisborne Pinot Noir
A challenging, mild and very wet year. A grower’s year. The wines are light bodied, delicate and relatively low in colour, but have huge appeal for real lovers of Pinot. Many vineyards succumbed to disease but we did a huge amount of hands-on work and managed to get a full crop - we train hard!
